Voice Taster Workshop - Southampton

13 April 2010 - 13 April 2010

This half-day workshop explores ‘influence’ with exercises for individuals, pairs, small groups and everyone together. Following the principles of ‘Voice’, the session focuses on discussion as a way to learn more about each other, the organisation you work for and the work you do which has an impact on communities. Although you can attend on your own, you are most welcome to come along as a group of two or three people from your organisation to stimulate discussion.

The programme includes:
• An exploration of what influence means and how this can be understood
• Some investigation of why organisations want to influence and where their focus is (and can be)
• Assessment and exploration of how influential people feel their organisation is
• Assessment of the organisation’s capacity to influence, looking at its strengths and areas for action
• Action planning to maintain or improve your organisation’s position of influence.
