Midlands & East England

bassac in the Midlands & East of England

bassac members in the Midlands vary hugely in terms of capacity, service users and services offered. Our larger members offer a range of services from Children’s Centre’s to debt advice and from IT suites to community conflict resolution. Smaller members focus on specific users and services, for example arts based activities for mental health patients or befriending services to help older people stay independent for longer. Other members are former Councils for Voluntary Service, now broadening their work into service delivery and community development.

In this section you canfind out about our regional staff, see a list of members and read a case study about the Bath Place Community Venture in Leamington Spa.

Working in partnership

We are developing links with regional authorities and forums in order to advocate on behalf of the community sector. Much of this work is done with colleagues from the Community Alliance (the Development Trusts Association and Community Matters). Between our three organisations we ensure that the community sector and our members are represented strongly across the Midlands and the East of England.
