Axis of Influence workshops

The Axis of Influence is a discussion-based tool specifically designed to help community groups and networks.

  • It helps groups and networks to explore what ‘influence’ is
  • discuss and record how influential community groups and networks feel
  • plot and evidence how influential they are
  • and plan how to increase their influence.

Axis of Influence is for you if you want to:

  • Improve skills to campaign, advocate and influence
  • Feel motivated and optimistic about your capacity to campaign, advocate and influence
  • Understand your local political landscape
  • See how your issues link with those of other organisations
  • See the value of building trust and relationships to increase influence
  • Prepare an action plan to increase influence

"It really made people feel motivated and enabled us to see just how far we have travelled in a relatively small time frame"

"The Axis helped us to focus on where we are, where we have been, where we want to go"

We run regular regional taster workshops on the Axis of Influence. If you think the Axis of Influence would work for your organisation, that you can sign up for a full day workshop to learn how to apply the Axis of Influence to your organisation.

We also offer facilitator training for those who want to use the Axis of Influence with other groups and networks.
