Communal action to improve sustainability - Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST), London

Published: 2008

Empowering the local residents to develop communal vegitable plots is leading to greener, more sustainable communities in inner city London.

Bankside Open Spaces Trusts runs the Diversity Garden programme which encourages families, local schools and residential groups from social housing estates near Waterloo to grow their own vegitables in communal gardens.

The Trust works with these communities by offering advice, support and training.
