Including young people in the community - East Northumberland Regeneration Initiative (ENRgI)

Published: 2009

Bringing isolated young people back into the community through arts and cultural activities, training volunteers and local groups in youth work.

Local people in the coastal villages of Northumberland concerned that young people were isolated and uninvolved in their communities contacted ENRgi to assist them in acquiring funding for a sustainable community project for young people.

Through a very locally-based approach, ENRgi is supporting groups to develop skills and services in their communities, acting as a facilitator and coordinator to achieve maximum impact.
