Long-term involvement with all parts of the community - Burley Lodge, Leeds

Published: 2009

Working with a generation of children, young people and families in North West Leeds to provide a range of services to improve the wellbeing of all parts of the local community.

Burley Lodge is a community anchor organisation; based in the heart of the neighbourhood, it has developed a wide range of services that it delivers to local people, and at the same time, provides support to smaller groups to build their own capacity and activities.

The centre’s aim is to support individuals so that the community is supported in a wider sense. It takes a holistic approach to providing services; it improves the wellbeing of all people in the local community and responds to needs expressed by particular groups.
