bassac believes that working in partnership with other organisations across all sectors can lead to better quality programmes and efficient delivery of services.
We know that collaboration can be challenging, that partners may have different incentives for joining up and that there can be power imbalances.
However, we believe that when there is a genuinely collaborative arrangement with mutual benefits for all parties, it can be extremely powerful.
Collaboration Benefits provides training and support to community and voluntary organisations to develop strong and successful partnerships. bassac is the lead organisation on the three-year workstream, part of the Improving Support programme funded by Capacitybuilders.
Our partners in Collaboration Benefits are Action with Rural Communities in England, Community Foundation Network and the Institute for Voluntary Action Research.

We talk to our members to gather their views on key policy issues, combining what they say with our own research. We present this at policy forums and feed into formal government consultations.
We believe that voices are made stronger by joining up with others. We are part of the Community Alliance along with Development Trusts Association and Community Matters.
