about us

bassac is a membership organisation that represents and supports a national network of multi-purpose organisations who provide services, community development support and host smaller community initiatives.

Located in areas of deprivation, these organisations function as community anchors; they strengthen neighbourhoods and increase opportunities for local people.

bassac helps and supports community anchors in many different ways: from offering support around key strategic issues such as building management or advocacy to providing access to networking with other organisations.
