Sustainable development from the grassroots up

Ben Hughes, Chief Executive of bassac, reports:

"We had a fantastic, thought provoking conference in Brighton. Over 250 people attended – from local authorities to think tanks, from Central Government to private sector, and, of course, a wide range of community organisations. 

One of the key themes to emerge was the need to make community level investment more coherent – so that people can 'look beyond funding'."
